"Our services" explained that Evolution Health & Safety Consultants Ltd has a range of services available specifically designed to assist companies that do not have their own qualified and competent Health & Safety specialist. Our aim is to provide packages and additional seamless bolt-on services that will support your company’s requirements and finances with a cost-effective solution. We have developed three main levels of service: Introductory, Intermediate and Premium, designed to help you select the most suitable package for your business. There are a number of additional services you can purchase to enhance your primary package, build your own bespoke package or purchase as individual services. These can be added at any time throughout your annual service agreement to enhance your Health & Safety system. Our advisors will be on hand to assist you determine which package or service will best suit your business.

Evolution Health & Safety Consultants Ltd will provide you with the necessary tools to operate a safe working system for your business. Our documentation will be easy to use and adapt to your companies specific needs. If however, you require further assistance in modifying individual documents, we can also provide this as an additional service.

As one of our valued clients, it is our aim to understand your business fully and the types of work you undertake before we embark on developing a suite of tailored documentation. As part of our service, any one of the packages chosen will begin with a company analysis and health check. We will then develop a plan as outlined below. One of our experienced advisors will complete this process with you.

Acknowledgment

Once you have selected your desired package, Evolution Health & Safety Consultants Ltd will firstly ascertain how your business operates, clarifying: your company’s size, number of employees, business scope and activities and what level of Health & Safety compliance you need to achieve.

We will liaise closely with you to agree the best course of action and the level of input required to produce a suite of documentation tailored for your specific needs.

Your current position

Initial Health Check: This will include an in-depth discussion with your relevant point of contact to determine the standard of your current Health & Safety documentation and internal processes.

We will identify key personnel and their responsibilities within your organisation and the relevant legislation covering your specific scope of works.

Following this in-depth review, we will then develop a structured action plan that fits your business requirements, to determine the documentation you will need. The documentation will be easy to use and enable you and your staff to carry out works in a safe and controlled manner.

Assist and evolve

On receipt of your documentation, we will assist you to ensure you fully understand, and can effectively implement and manage, your safe working system. Your new documentation will also assist you in achieving SSIP compliance, dependent on the level of service chosen*1.

We will contact you once your Health & Safety system has been operating for a number of months, to ascertain any problem areas, which may need rectifying. Customers who also opt to take advantage of our mid-term review will receive a guaranteed minimum discount of 25% on any main package chosen*4 for the second year of service (annual review) with Evolution Health & Safety Consultants Ltd (see additional services). We will also liaise with you to determine whether you require any further assistance or additional support to enhance your business's capability.

Before the anniversary of your first year with Evolution Health & Safety Consultants Ltd, we will contact you to determine whether the current package and service levels are sufficient for your business, taking into consideration any changes in scope or size of business.

On annual review*2, we will revise your policy and procedures and update any legislative requirements. We will conduct a formal review of all your Health & Safety documentation previously provided to ensure your company remains in full compliance. We will also discuss any improvements, which you feel may further benefit your business.

By choosing any one of the three main packages below, as one of Evolution Health & Safety Consultants Ltd’s clients, you will have exclusive rights to use our logo on your website and stationery, as desired. You will be able to state us as your competent Health & Safety advisors to your clients; when tendering for work, applying for SSIP Certification and when completing PQQs. You will also have access to our recommended certified training providers.

Review of training with recommendations of improvement

  • Identify any additional training which may be required as appropriate to your nature of business, number of employees and working environments to ensure you have provided your employees with sufficient information, instruction and training
First aid risk assessment
 
Template of a first aid risk assessment, tailored to include any specific risks to your employees accounting for the nature of works within your business
Fire risk assessment
  • Evolution Health & Safety Consultants Ltd will provide you with you a fire risk assessment template for your completion, appropriate to the location and size of your office and in compliance with the ‘Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005’. We will discuss options available to ensure you are legally compliant
  • Further investigation into your fire precautions and how they are implemented within your business. This may include things such as confirmation of the correct types of extinguishers, how many staff you may need to train and your company premises fire plan, etc
Subcontractor questionnaire
 
Provision of a subcontractor questionnaire to ensure you adequately assess your subcontractor/s, including adequate insurances, employees competence and Health & Safety procedures prior to engagement
Accident investigation forms
 
Provision of a full set of accident reporting procedures and investigation forms to assist you in adequately recording and reporting accidents as required by legislation
Health surveillance

Principal designer package

This package has been specifically developed to assist those in the position of principal designer to ensure compliance with their duties under the CDM Regulations 2015. Although designed for architects/structural engineers, this package can also assist anyone taking on the responsibility of principal designer.

Included in the package are two strategically designed concise guidance documents summarising your key duties as principal designer and additional client duties (where appointed) for domestic works. The package also includes a suite of documents to assist you in competently conducting your duties.

Documents include: Principal designer guidance document, construction phase plan verification checklist, designer Health & Safety checklist, client brief template, Health & Safety file templates, letters of appointment for principal designer and client duties and much more.

Driving at work package

We have developed a driving at work package to help you comply with your duties and managed your workforce effectively, when an employee drives at work in relation to their employment; whether in a company, a hire or their own vehicle. Includes a driving policy and guidance and a driving safely handbook and guidance for your employees.
 
Plus a number of associated documents including a driving risk assessment template, drivers licence validation checklist, vehicle inspection checklist, vehicle incident report form and a vehicle incident analysis form.

SSIP assessment assistance

Comprehensive assistance throughout your SSIP assessment

  • Your designated consultant will be there to guide you through each stage of your assessment, assisting you to collate the correct documentation and information to submit to your chosen assessing body. This will enable you to complete your assessment and gain compliance as quickly as possible
  • Assist companies who have failed their assessment clarifying any issues raised, collating additional evidence required during the assessment process until assessment approval

Initial health check - Premises

If you are uncertain of the most suitable service package for your company, we are able to send one of our advisors to your premises for a frank and open discussion on your existing Health & Safety documentation and processes.

Following this initial check, the advisor will report back to head office and refer the company information gathered to your designated consultant, identifying the key areas where you require specific development/assistance. The consultant will then develop a structured action plan that fits your business requirements and to determine the documentation you will need.

On-site Health & Safety visit

Should you need the additional assurance that you are in compliance with the Health & Safety regulations on-site, one of our experienced consultants can attend to conduct a general Health & Safety inspection, checking you have appropriate equipment, working procedures, site safety, documentation and general Health & Safety provision.

Where areas require additional control/improvements, we will advise you on the best course of action to rectify any issues found, ensuring you are protected and adequately covering your employees, your company and others who may be affected by works conducted and you are compliant with legislative requirements, should an incident occur, or your company be selected for inspection by the HSE.

You will receive a copy of the site inspection conducted for your company files.

Comprehensive Health & Safety inspection

One of our experienced Health & Safety consultants will attend your work premises to conduct a comprehensive Health & Safety inspection, to ensure your company is compliant under The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and subsequent regulations.

Following completion of the inspection, you will receive an extensive report detailing the results of the inspection, any actions required for improvement and suggested timescales for completion. Corrective actions will be recommended to assist you in implementing the most realistic, practicable and cost effective solutions.

Assistance in accident investigation and follow up

Should an accident occur and you require more involved assistance, one of our assessors will attend the site of the incident to;
  • Conduct a comprehensive accident investigation and produce an extensive written report and root cause analysis
  • Assist in reporting the incident as appropriate under RIDDOR Regulations and
  • Provide a report to instruct you on the most suitable corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence

On-site fire risk assessment for your premises

One of our experienced consultants will visit your site to conduct a comprehensive fire risk assessment and review your company in compliance to the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005.

This will detail any findings from the inspection and actions required for improvement, with suggested timescales for completion. *1 Evolution Health & Safety Consultants Ltd cannot guarantee a company will pass their SSIP assessment solely through the purchase of our services. It is the duty and responsibility of the company to effectively manage and implement their Health & Safety documentation, systems and procedures within their company, which in turn will help determine their compliance under SSIP criteria and Health & Safety legislation.

*2 A summary of your annual service agreement is included on your invoice and are detailed within your terms and conditions of business. These will be forwarded to you along with your invoice. You can also request a copy of our terms and conditions of business by contacting our office directly or by speaking with one of our advisors.

*3 Any additional charges for advice out of normal working hours will be invoiced on a monthly basis. By purchasing one of our main service packages, or any of our additional services on offer, you agree to our terms and conditions of business. Until full payment is received, the documentation provided will remain the property of Evolution Health & Safety Consultants Ltd.

Service packages are based on the assumption that the size of company is no greater than 100 employees. Where a company has more than 100 employees, additional cost maybe charged depending on the nature and content of work. Please contact the office for a quotation.

The above prices are based on one office, however, Evolution Health & Safety Consultants Ltd will offer discounts for companies with multiple offices/branches and/or subsidiaries. Please contact the office for a quotation.

Due to our long-term relationship with BESA and as the BESA consult nominated partner, we have agreed a 10% discount on any main package chosen. All we require is confirmation of BESA membership/membership application. Please note: any discount will be deducted prior to any additional fees when paying via monthly instalments. Discount for renewal of services with Evolution Health & Safety Consultants Ltd: We reward loyal customers with a 10% reduction in cost after the first year of service. Please note discounts will only be applied on the main package chosen, not on any additional services. BESA members will receive a further 5% discount when renewing their service for the second year.
